The reprieve for Door-2-Door Rides, provided by a large majority on the Door County Board Tuesday, gives the local shared ride taxi service a little breathing room over the next three years. Increased costs had brought about the prospect of curtailing or eliminating the service. In the end, supervisors agreed to fund Door-2-Door for a three year period while a way is sought to continue the program more economically.
