Dogs will not be allowed in Sturgeon Bay city parks after all, at least not for the time being. Alderman Ron Vandertie, Chairman of the Park and Recreation Committee, said committee members were not totally opposed to dogs in city parks, but wanted to limit access to the certain parks and consider the matter again after a trial period. Vandertie said he hoped the committee could come to a consensus on the matter and provide another recommendation in the near future.
