Chaudoir to Return to DCEDC on Interim Basis

WDOR News has learned that Bill Chaudoir, Executive Director of the Door County Economic Development Corporation for 27 years, is returning to the public/private organization on an interim basis during the search for a new executive. Chaudoir, who was in on the creation of the organization in 1989, turned over the reins to Caleb Frostman at the end of 2016. Frostman, a Green Bay native who spent a decade in commercial real estate finance prior to taking the Door County job, resigned recently in order to run for the open 1st District State Senate seat as a Democrat. A search committee will seek a full-time replacement. The last time that happened, the committee received 200 resumes before settling on Frostman, whose last day on the job is Friday. In the meantime, Chaudoir, who is credited with a laundry list of accomplishments during his tenure, will work to guide the economic development corporation through the current transition.
