Wednesday night was the benefit concert at the Door County Fire Company raising funds to help support those who were affected by the fire at Butch’s bar 3 weeks ago. The benefit concert was very well attended as numerous local musicians performed late into the evening. The United Way of Door County was present to help with the fundraising efforts with the raffle and donations. Executive Director Amy Kohnle tells us about their presence and the assistance they brought…..
There has been a donations account set up at Nicolet Bank for those affected by the fire, and that account is still open for donations, but in addition to those donations, Kohnle reports that last night’s fundraiser brought in another $5,660 towards that total………..
The Fire Company’s large upstairs room was filled most of the evening, and Kohnle estimated that with people coming and going there were up to 300 attendees at the event. She also expressed thanks to the community and everyone who came to help support those in need……..
