When entrepreneurs in Door County are looking for a place to start and grow a business, they often look to the Door County Business Development Center in Sturgeon Bay. Commonly referred to as the “business incubator,” the facility at the offices of the Door County Economic Development Corporation helps reduce business startup overhead costs by offering affordable rents and free or low cost access to shared facilities, services and equipment including truck docks, a forklift, high speed internet access, copier, fax and mail services, and a private conference room. The small incubator recently welcomed Letrolaq Tooling and Strategic Supply Company as new client businesses. Letrolaq Tooling’s main focus is on tooling and machine designs for the wire terminating industry for automotive, military and other industrial applications. Strategic Supply is a wholesale supply company of medical supplies, janitorial and sanitation supplies, office supplies and more, serving all of Wisconsin and most of the midwest. As of this week, the Business Development Center has around 3,525 square feet of light manufacturing space available, along with one interior office.
