Sturgeon Bay Municipal Services is reminding city residents that there will no longer be a one-time collection of brush in the Spring. Instead, you may schedule a brush collection that will take place the 2nd Friday of the month, April through October, the same dates as the city’s large item collections. This will allow residents several times a year to have their brush, branches, and garden waste collected whether they are cleaning up their yard from a wind storm or cleaning up their landscaping in the fall. The cost of the service will be $35, a separate fee from the large item pickup due to the fact that the materials go to separate facilities to be properly disposed of and will require a 2nd crew to conduct this service. As always, the compost site on Division Road is available for city residents to bring their brush, leaves, or garden waste for disposal. Be aware, the brush collection service will not be picking up leaves. Leaf collection will take place in the Fall as it has in previous years. Forms for brush collection pickup are availabe in the municipal services office lobby on 14th Avenue.
