A crew from the Department of Transportation will be returning to Door County next week for spring maintenance and cleaning work on Sturgeon Bay’s three bridges. The work is routine, but is expected to result in both road and marine traffic impacts. The schedule is as follows…

From Monday, May 4th through Friday, May 15th, the Maple/Oregon Street Bridge will be undergoing repairs to the railing and sidewalk damaged when a barge struck the span in December. A two-hour notice for a bridge opening will be
required from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through
Wednesday (May 4th thru May 6th).
The bridge will not be open to navigation from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Monday, May 11th.
All work is weather dependent. Motorists are encouraged to adjust their route according to the project schedule.
