Boudreau to Retire from Humane Society

Carol Boudreau, Executive Director of the former Door County Humane Society, has announced that she will retire in mid-February. Most recently, Boudreau has been Shelter Operations Manager for the Wisconsin Humane Society, the Milwaukee-based organization that absorbed the local humane society in January. She has agreed to stay in her current capacity through the immediate transition. Boudreau became Executive Director in 2015, tackling financial problems and working steadily with donors to reduce the mortgage balance. She also worked along staff and volunteers, caring for about 750 animals each year. Boudreau’s last day will be February 9th. She hopes to return to personal projects that had been put aside when she first took the leadership position at the Door County Humane Society.
