A 49 year old Casco man, who was bicycling on Highway 54, was struck and killed Tuesday morning. The accident occurred approximately 500 feet east of the highway’s intersection with County D, in the Town of Ahnapee. The bicyclist, Andrew J. Nowak, was heading east on 54 when he was struck by an eastbound pickup truck, driven by Bryar A. Bennett, a 20 year old Luxemburg man. Nowak was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation by the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol Accident Reconstruction Team.
