A crew from the Department of Transportation is expected back in Sturgeon Bay next week to work on the Bayview Bridge Tuesday and Wednesday. The DOT says the travel area will be reduced to one lane, from 8:30AM to 3PM, both days and traffic will be controlled by flaggers. The project includes welding on a section of the span’s grate and replacement of bird netting that protects machinery under the structure. Motorists are advised to anticipate backups and seek alternate routes. In addition, drivers should be alert and exercise caution whenever driving through this or any other work zone.
