Authorities Searching for “Walk-Away” Inmate of DC Jail

The Door County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an inmate of the Door County Jail who walked away from custody. Thirty one year old Chad Skarvan, serving a sentence for criminal trespass to a dwelling, left the jail at 1203 South Duluth Avenue in Sturgeon Bay at about 7AM Monday under work release privileges. When he did not return to the jail, the sheriff’s office changed his status to a huber walk-away (escaped) prisoner. Chad A. Skarvan is a white male, six feet tall, weighing 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The sheriff’s department is continuing its efforts to locate him.
