We have been telling you that the Department of Transportation in Green Bay was planning to shut down the Maple/Oregon Street Bridge in Sturgeon Bay for maintenance work the week of December 18th. Now comes word from the DOT that it has changed its mind and won’t be doing the project until mid-January. During that time a detour will be set up and the bridge will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic, but will be open to navigation. No word as to why the change was made.
