Algoma to Get Hometown Huddle Treatment

The Green Bay Packers have selected the City of Algoma as the recipient of the Hometown Huddle project. The effort is part of the NFL’s league wide Play 60 program encouraging and helping kids get active for 60 minutes a day. Packers players and employees, as well as volunteers from the United Way of Door & Brown Counties will join representatives of the City of Algoma in refurbishing the grounds at Peterson Park on Tuesday, November 1st. A warming shelter designed and pre-fabricated by Algoma School’s Wolf Tech program, benches and final touches on the new ice skating rink will be added.

*An earlier version of this story indicated a different project date. It has been changed to reflect the new scheduled project date.
