The City of Algoma is in the process of updating it’s comprehensive plan for the city. The comprehensive plan lays out the long term planning needs and sets goals for community development. The last time Algoma’s comprehensive plan was updated was in 2003, which was a 20 year plan. The city has contracted with Vierbicher Associates, a planning consulting firm from the Madison area. The city is also seeking public participation in the form of a survey that can be taken in about 15-20 minutes. You can find the survey online at http://algomacommunitysurvey.questionpro.com/ or you can get a paper copy at Algoma City Hall, 416 Fremont Street. Public input will be used to help the city update the plan to guide Algoma’s future growth.
