Algoma Police Make a 2nd Arrest Connected to Burglaries

The Algoma Police Department has announced that it has arrested another individual believed to be connected with a string of burglaries earlier this year in the city. Eighteen year old Israel G. Wierichs was arrested March 2nd on two counts of burglary and is being held on $1,500 cash bond, his initial court appearance is pending.

A sixteen year old male juvenile is also being referred to juvenile court for one count of burglary in relation to one of the burglary incidents.

The first suspect, Charles W.H. Weatherwalk will make his initial court appearance on Thursday, March 12th.

The burglaries occurred in the 200 block of North 4th Street, the 300 block of Lakeview Drive, and two burglaries on Margaret Lynn Avenue.
