Algoma Man Seriously Injured in Accident Tuesday Night

A 22 year old Algoma man was seriously injured in an accident Tuesday evening in the Town of Lincoln. The Algoma man was the driver of a 1997 Honda Prelude that struck a farm implement pulling a self unloading wagon on County Highway C. Both vehicles were southbound on County C. The accident took place when the farm implement attempted to turn east on Hawk Road and was struck from behind by the car. The driver of the implement, a 32 year old Kewaunee man was not injured. The 22 year old Algoma man who was driving the car was seriously injured and treated at the scene by Luxemburg Rescue and Lincoln First Responders before being transported to a medical facility in Green Bay by the Eagle III helicopter. The accident remains under investigation by the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department.
