$100,000 Matching Grant Announced for Eagle Tower Replacement

The Eagle Tower Fund Committee has announced that a $100,000 matching grant has been received as it attempts to raise the funds needed to replace the iconic observation tower at Peninsula State Park. The funding comes on the heels of the acquisition of $100,000 in the initial effort to move forward with the selection of an architect/engineer. Campaign Director Rachel Stollenwerk says the matching grant has the potential to raise significant funds for the cause…


Stollenwerk says, if the grant is matched, the committee could have $300,000 in pledges and donations available in relatively short order. She says the Eagle Tower Committee has also launched a holiday season gift campaign…


The website is www.eagletowerfund.com. It’s recommended that holiday donation forms be returned by December 12th. Donations are tax deductible and checks can be made out to the Friends of Peninsula State Park-Eagle Tower Fund.
