Ryan Zuehlke has been named the head football coach at Southern Door. Zuehlke, who has been a varsity assistant at Sturgeon Bay the past couple of seasons and also coached youth teams with the Clippers and also at Sevastopol, will take over the reins of the Eagles program that is coming off of an undefeated league season. Wanting to coach varsity football, Zuehlke says that he applied for both the Sturgeon Bay and Southern Door jobs….
Zuehlke says that his version of the Eagles will look very much like recent teams under former coach Pat McCarty….
Zuehlke, who is an owner and President of the Door County Destroyers semi-pro football team, says that he plans to continue to play in the upcoming season.
