Two area teams opened their volleyball season as Sevastopol and Luxemburg-Casco went (2-2) at their respective quad on Tuesday.
Pioneers at Bonduel
Sevastopol picked up wins over Crandon and Bonduel and lost to Suring and Southern Door. Brynn Schartner finished with 33 assists/13 kills/4 aces. Leah Schopf had 10 aces/40 digs/7 assists while Aleah Volkman and Braelyn Staats had 18 kills.
Spartans at Neenah
Luxemburg-Casco beat Appleton North and Notre Dame and lost to Bay Port and Neenah. Alayna Deprez had 88 assists/23 digs/8 aces. Aubrey Frey had 43 kills/26 digs and Claire Schleis added 22 kills and Rylan Kaminski finished with 28 digs.
Clippers at Wisconsin Dells
Sturgeon Bay went (1-3) to open the season, beating Iola-Scandinavia and losing to Wonewoc-Center, Shiocton and Cashton. Makenna Coyhis had 30 assists/5 aces; Reen Walker had 26 digs, Audrey Harrington 12kills/14 digs, Izzy Schoeneman 8 kills, Regan Kasten/Miya Nell 6 kills
Vikings at Peshtigo
Gibraltar went (2-2) to open the season, beating Mercer and Goodman-Pembine while losing to Green Bay Southwest and Crivitz. Azucena Jauregui had 16 kills, Celeste Jauregui led the team with 32 digs and Amelia Zochke had 37 assists/14 aces.
