Pioneers, Spartans Advance

The Sevastopol girls finished in second place at the WIAA Division 3 Lena Sub-Sectional and have advanced to the Sectional at Manitowoc Lutheran on Saturday. The Sevastopol boys and girls teams won a cross country triangular on Thursday. Pioneers Move Volleyball Season

Sevastopol is moving their volleyball season to the spring as Athletic Director Brooke Tanck explains…. As of Friday morning, Southern Door and Algoma have also moved to the Alternate Spring Season. Practice for a six week regular season can begin on February 22nd.

Spartans Win State

The Luxemburg-Casco volleyball team won their first volleyball state championship in school history when they swept McFarland, 3-0, for the WIAA Division 2 title. The Spartans (35-13) won the match 25-21, 25-17, 25-23. The Sturgeon Bay soccer team beat Oostburg, 2-1, in overtime at Kohler on Saturday afternoon to advance to the WIAA State Tournemant at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee.
