While Gibraltar has not yet qualified for the WIAA 8-Player football playoffs, they have taken a very important first step. After spending the last couple of months thinking that they were not eligible for the first ever WIAA sponsored 8 team playoff series, word has recently come down that the Vikings could now make the playoffs. The WIAA says you must have a three year enrollment average under 200 to make the playoffs, and after Gibraltar asked for a clarification on their enrollment number, the WIAA confirmed that Gibraltar’s enrollment is 191, making them eligible for the playoffs according to athletic director Peggy Tanck….
The Vikings are currently (5-1) on the season, ranked 5th in the Wissports.net coaches poll, and are tied with Sevastopol at the top of the MONLPC-8 conference standings.
