Kewaunee beat Manawa, 36-30, in a non-conference football game in Manawa on Friday Night. The Storm (1-1) got off to a quick 21-0 lead in the first quarter as Owen Kudick threw a 70 yard halfback option pass to Max Hanrahan and Ryan Carmichael added a 1 yard td run and 29 yard scoring pass to Collin Hlinak. But the Wolves (1-1) would tie the game at 21-21 when they scored on the final play of the first half as Mason Weisner threw a 5 yard td pass to Riley Krenke. Manawa took the lead in the 3rd quarter of a 35 yard field goal by Wiesner but Kewaunee regained the lead on a short touchdown run by Jack Severin. The Wolves took the lead again in the fourth quarter but the Storm took the lead for good on an Owen Kudick 13 yard touchdown run with 3:38 to play. The Kewaunee defense stopped Manawa on downs inside the 25 yard line with less than :30 seconds to play to clinch the win.
