Storm beat Spartans

Kewaunee had a pair of big plays on both ends of a 51 minute weather delay and eventually beat Luxemburg-Casco, 31-22, at Don Rabas Field on Friday. Leading 7-6 late in the first quarter, the Storm recovered an L-C fumble deep in their own territory and following the break, Thomas Stangel hit Maddix Mueller for a go ahead 92 yard scoring pass. Kewaunee extended the lead to 17-6 at the break thanks as Mueller booted a 43 yard field goal. The Spartans drove for a Max Ronsman 5 yard td run on their opening drive of the second half but Kewaunee answered with rushing scores from Stangel and Owen Carlson (52 & 6 yard td) to put the game out of reach. Ronsman finished with a pair of rushing td’s for Luxemburg-Casco and Andrew Klass scored the first td of the game.Here’s the WDOR Playback…
