The Southern Door football team won their 2016 season opener as they beat Winneconne Friday night, 32-6. Tied at six at halftime, the Eagles outscored the Wolves 26-0 in the second half. Tory Jandrin’s one-yard touchdown run gave Southern Door a 6-nothing lead after the opening quarter. Jandrin would haul in a four-yard TD pass from Nick LeCaptain snapping a 6-6 tie in the third quarter. Nick LeCaptain had touchdown runs of seven and three yards and brother Derik capped the night with a 34-yard TD run in fourth quarter. Southern Door will play at Manitowoc Roncalli Friday night.
