Southern Door’s Hailey Shimon signed her National Letter of Intent to attend the University of Saint Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota in a ceremony in the Southern Door Auditorium on Wednesday. Shimon will compete in track and field for the Tommies, who are transitioning to NCAA Division 1 athletics. We asked Shimon why she chose Saint Thomas….
Shimon set the school discus record (120’8) as a freshman and qualified for the State Meet in 2018. Shimon has a 3.87 GPA and has a career path set for her academic career as well…..
Practice for the high school track and field season begins on April 19th and the WIAA State Meet is June 25-26.
