Sevastopol beat Mercer-Butternut, 36-8, for their first win of the season at Stiehm Stadium at Schofield DC Everest on Thursday. The Pioneers bounced back from an 8-0 deficit by scoring two touchdowns in the final 4:07 of the first half. Hunter Ebel connected with Max Krohn on a 10 yard touchdown pass to tie the game and then Ebel’s 2 yard run with :34 seconds left in the half put the Sevastopol in front for good. Krohn, Jeremy Jorns and Nathan Stenzel all added fourth quarter rushing td’s for Sevastopol and Jorns led the Pioneers defense with three interceptions.
