Southern Door opened the season with a non-conference win over Oostburg, 25-17, on Friday Night in Brussels. The Eagles were led by quarterback Jack Peterson as he had two rushing scores and threw touchdowns to Alec Guilette and Drew Daoust. Nic Pierre, Jonas Jandrin and Peterson had second half interceptions and Lane Aleson recovered a fumble in the final two minutes to clinch the win. Jay DeBlaey scored both touchdowns for the Flying Dutchmen.
