McHugh’s Qualify for Olympic Time Trials

Conner McHugh and Max McHugh have qualified for the 2020 Olympic Time Trials in Omaha, Nebraska. The McHugh brothers will attempt to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with a top 2 finish in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke events. Their coach and father, Mike McHugh, says that they will begin to start training for the time trials soon….

Mike says that they are near the top 10 in both events with their qualifying times. He also added that the current state of USA swimming will also make it very challenging to make the Olympics….

Cody Miller won bronze in the 100 breaststroke in Rio in 2016, Michael Andrew is the 2016 world champion in the 100 individual medley and Reece Whitley swims for the University of California. Max McHugh earned All-American honors in the 100 and 200 breaststroke for the University of Minnesota in 2019 while Conner HcHugh completed his college career at Minnesota in 2018.
