The Door County YMCA Swim Team competed in the State Championship held in Brown Deer last weekend. The team had 62 swimmers qualify for the State meet as each swimmer must meet a time standard to be eligible to swim at the meet and are able to swim in up to 5 events. Door County United has qualified three individuals and all three relay teams for the WIAA Division 2 State Meet at Waukesha South on Friday. DCU wins EWC Championship
Door County United won the Eastern Wisconsin Conference swimming and diving championship at Kiel, totaling 106 points while Plymouth finished runner up with 95 points. Jacob Norton won two individual events and was a member of the championship winning 200 Medley Relay.
