The top two teams in the Packerland met Friday night at Don Rabas Field and Kewaunee took control of the conference as they beat Southern Door, 48-6. The Storm (6-0 Packerland / 8-0 overall) used nine plays to go 67 yards on their opening drive, the final 32 on a fourth and ten touchdown pass from Thomas Stangel to Maddix Mueller. Down 6-0, Southern Door turned the ball over deep in Kewaunee territory at the end of the opening quarter and on the first play of the second quarter, Owen Carlson ran 84 yards for a score. Tyler VanGoethem added an 11-yard touchdown run and Kewaunee led 19-0 at halftime. Carlson would add two more scores in the second half and D.J. Echols and Jackson Wisnicky would run for touchdowns. Southern Door (5-1 / 7-1) would score their lone touchdown on a 40-yard pass from Lauden Berg to James Fish the Third. Berg was at quarterback for Drew Daoust, who did not play in the second half.
