Hunter Ebel had a hand in six touchdowns at Sevastopol beat Gibraltar, 38-14, in Fish Creek on Friday Night. The Vikings opened the scoring when Trevor Reinhardt connected with Nathan Ewaskowitz on a 57 yard td pass but Ebel returned the ensuing kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown to make it 8-6. The Pioneers took their first lead of the night when Ebel hit Max Krohn for a 12 yard td pass but Reinhardt answered with a 64 yard td run as Gibraltar led 14-12 at halftime. But Sevastopol outscored the Vikings 26-0 in the second half as Ebel added a 44 yard td pass to Krohn, caught a 83 yard throwback pass from Jacob Welsing and had interception returns of 60 and 65 yards for touchdowns to close the scoring. It’s the first win for Sevastopol (2-1) over Gibraltar (1-2) since both teams switched to 8-man football in 2013.
