The Southern Door boys and girls cross country teams won the Algoma Invitational at Pederson Park on Tuesday. The Eagles boys won the team title with 47 points followed by Mishicot (77) and Denmark (85). Gibraltar’s Evan Henry won the race in 18:15 followed by Izaak Polecheck of Sturgeon Bay and Josh Woller of Oconto. Southern Door’s Sam Dean (4th) and Ben Kielar (6th) and Sturgeon Bay’s Jace Johnson (8th) were other top finishers.
Southern Door won the girls team title with 41 points followed by Sturgeon Bay with 58 points. Leah Kralovetz of Denmark was the run away winner followed by Lydiah LeCloux second, Ryann Wagner of Suring third followed by Maggie Grota (SD) 4th and Liberty Ansorge of Algoma finsihed 5th. Colleen Dachelet of Algoma (9th) and Katelyn LeCloux of Southern Door round out the top 10. Sturgeon Bay’s top runners were Miranda Olson (13th) Maggie Stephens (15th) and Ashley Alberts (16th).
