Southern Door opened the season with a 44-7 win over Clintonville on Friday Night. The Eagles opened the scoring with a scoring pass from Alex Daoust to Marcus Marchant followed by rushing TD’s from Christian Counard and Nick Baudhuin. Daoust would add TD passes to Devin Schinkgten, Jared Hawkey and another to Marchant to finish with four in the game. The Southern Door defense ended with five takeaways as Jonas Jandrin, Marchant and Daoust had interceptions and Brodie Overbeck recovered a pair of fumbles. The Truckers only score was on a Brock Smejkal kickoff return.
