Eagles Handle Bulldogs

The Southern Door boys basketball team cruised to a 61-37 win over Peshtigo on Saturday. The Eagles (9-2, 11-5) opened the game on a 19-4 run and the Bulldogs (6-4, 9-5) never seriously threatened a comeback. Ryan Claflin led Southern Door with 15 points while Nate Everard added 12 and Alex Daoust finished with 10. Cade Tackmier scored 16 to lead Peshtigo.

Swimming
Door County United finished in 4th place on Saturday at the Small School State Invitational at Plymouth. Brock Aune won the 50 freestyle.

Wrestling

Southern Door competed at the Hustisford Invitational on Saturday. Grant Englebert placed first, Kyle Conard and Austin Falish placed 2nd, Dylan Wessel third, Austin Farley 4th and Jonas Jandrin 6th for the Eagles.

Luxemburg-Casco finished third behind Kaukauna and Coleman at the Pulaski Invitational. Reece Worachek placed 1st and Lucas Joniaux finished second to lead the Spartans. Easton Worachek, Travis LeGrave and Kyle Kroll added third place finishes while Hunter Joniaux placed 4th, Luke Shefchik, Ryan Routhieaux and Isaac Blohowiak 5th and Tristan Thiry 6th.

Kewaunee finished in third place behind Random Lake and Kenosha Christian Life at the Deerfield Scramble on Saturday. Jason Reinke and Jack Severin were champions while Nathan VanGoethem, Mitchell Thompson and Logan Steinhorst placed 4th for the Storm. Max Severin and Matt Wery placed 5th and Alex Romero added a 6th place finish.
