Southern Door will take on top ranked Amherst in a WIAA Division 5 playoff football game at Goerke Park in Stevens Point on Friday Night. The Eagles (9-2) are coming off of a 41-27 win over Bonduel last week, rallying from a fourth quarter deficit. Southern Door has had 11 rushing touchdowns in their first two playoff wins. The Falcons (11-0) are the champions of the Central Wisconsin- Eight and have dominated New Holstein and Winnebago Lutheran in the postseason. Amherst is led by quarterback Garrett Groshek (1,848 passing yards/31 td and 1,069/13 td), running back Brandon Piotrowski (1,260 yards/21 td) and Badger recruit OL/DL Tyler Biadasz (6’4 270).
