Southern Door opened the playoffs with a 41-3 win over Kewaunee in a WIAA Division 5 playoff opener on Friday Night in Brussels. Derik LeCaptain, Tory Jandrin and Nick LeCaptain all had two rushing touchdowns and combined for an unofficial 397 rushing yards to lead the Eagles. Derik LeCaptain totaled 227 yards rushing while Nick LeCaptain had 131 passing yards and 93 rushing yards in the win while Sam Gerend and Derik LeCaptain had interceptions on defense. Alex Hewett kicked a 22 yard field goal for Kewaunee’s only points. Elsewhere, Winnebago Lutheran Academy (8-2) was a 21-0 winner over Valders as WLA advances to play at Southern Door (10-0) next week on WDOR.
