Southern Door beat Algoma, 24-14, in a Packerland Conference football game in Brussels on Friday Night. The Eagles (2-0, 4-0) opened the scoring by marching 60 yards on their opening drive as Nick LeCaptain found younger brother Derik with a 34 yard scoring pass. The Wolves (0-2, 0-3) took an 8-7 lead on the first play of the second quarter on a 4 yard td run by Jared Zellner and two point conversion pass from Zach Wery to Booker Prokash but Southern Door took a 10-8 lead into the halftime locker room on a 22 yard field goal by Andrew Montana. After a scoreless third quarter, Tory Jandrin took over in the 4th as he had rushing scores of 29 and 45 yards. Wery connected with Prokash on a 76 yard fourth quarter touchdown pass for Algoma. WDOR had Jandrin with 19 carries for 152 yards for Southern Door.
