Scott Biemeret resigned from his job as head football coach at Gibraltar High School on Friday. This sudden coaching change will happen after the Vikings had started practice last Wednesday. Athletic Director Peggy Tanck spoke to WDOR this morning…
Tanck says that the Gibraltar administration will spend the next day or two formulating a plan to move forward…
In a conversation this morning, Biemeret said he knew the timing was bad, but that Southern Door had made an offer for a full time teaching job that was too good to pass up….
Biemeret finished the 2016 season as an interim coach at Gibraltar and went (5-4) in his only full season as Vikings head coach. He says that he will lead the SOAR program at Southern Door. The Vikings open their season on August 17th vs Oneida Nation in Fish Creek.
