BUG Fire Department Called Out Saturday

Fire damaged a two-story farmhouse in the Town of Brussels Saturday morning. The Brussels-Union-Gardner Fire Department was sent to the Richard Jeanquart home at 739 County C at 5:55AM. BUG Fire Chief Curt Vandertie explains what the fire crews found when they arrived on scene…

Chief Vandertie says 38 firefighters responded and the Southern Door, Luxemburg, and Sturgeon Bay fire departments provided support. He says a fill site was set up and a couple of roads were closed down…

For awhile, there was concern that someone or animals could be in the house, but that was not the case. About 1,500 gallons of water and three gallons of foam was used to knocked down the blaze. No cause or damage estimate is available. Fire crews cleared the scene at 7:40AM Saturday.
