the BUG Fire Department.
The Door County Community Foundation recently awarded the Brussels, Union, Gardner Fire Department a sustainability grant from the health and human needs fund. The grant will support the necessary land acquisition to make some much needed facility updates to allow the department to better address the growing needs of the area. The fire department facility project is a collaborative effort to bring all components of public safety together. In addition to the fire department, the project partners include emergency medical responders, the Door County Ambulance Service, the Door County Sheriff’s Department and Door County Human Services.
