Barn Fire in Town of Nasewaupee

Several Door County Fire Departments were involved in a fire fighting operation Tuesday afternoon, at a barn located at 3037 County MM, in the Town of Nasewaupee. WDOR’s Eddy Allen reported from the scene that the structure and its contents were considered a total loss. The barn had been used for storage purposes. He noted that the Southern Door Fire Department was the lead department, but fire crews and vehicles from the Algoma, Brussels-Union-Gardner, Southern Door and Sturgeon Bay fire departments were also on hand. A tanker shuttle was started to provide a continuous supply of water. County MM was shut down by the Door County Sheriff’s Department and an emergency services ambulance was on the scene. It appears that some sort of electrical problem may have caused the fire.
