The Algoma basketball team beat Sturgeon Bay, 62-59, on a night when Carter Zimmerman broke the boys school scoring record. Zimmerman entered the game needing 10 points to pass Mark Wautlet and broke the record in the first half on his way to a 23 point night. The Clippers rallied from an 8 point second half deficit and had the lead with :27 seconds to play before Kaden Vardon (20 points) and Zimmerman provided the winning margin from the free throw line. Owen Robertson added 10 points in the win while Preston Newton finished with 17 points to lead Sturgeon Bay while Spencer Hubbard and Isaak Aune finished with 11 each.
