The Algoma boys and girls teams won WIAA Division 3 Regional Championsips on Monday in Algoma. The girls totaled 184 points with Reedsville finishing in second place with 104 points. The boys finished with 146 points and Manitowoc Lutheran was second with 138 points.
Girls
Individual regional titles were won by Katelyn Williams (100/Shot Put/Discus) Elizabeth McClure (High Jump/Pole Vault) and Colleen Dachelet (3200) and also by the 400 relay team (Khloe Williams, Courtney Guilette, Katelyn Williams, Morgan Davister) and the 800 relay team (Courtney Guilette, Alli Spitzer, Lucy Wiese, Jenny Farley). Sevastopol’s Olivia Stenzel won the 1600 meter run.
Boys
Aidan Wallace (Discus) Sam Utesch (Pole Vault) Ryan Feuerstein (Triple Jump) and the 400 relay team (Brett Benesh, Jordan Deringer, Chase Peronto, Oliver Robertson) won titles. Sevastopol’s Spencer Evenson (400) and Kiegen Sargent (Long Jump) won individual titles for the Pioneers.
The top four finishers in each event qualify for Sectionals on Thursday in Hilbert
