Wolves Win as Game Stopped by Fog

Algoma beat Sevastopol, 4-3, in a Packerland Conference baseball game at Perry Field on Thursday.  The Pioneers tied the game in the top of the 4th inning on an infield single by Lucas Stenzel that scored Jared Pfleiger but the Wolves scored what proved to be the winning run in the bottom of the fourth on a bases loaded walk by Max Grovogel.  Casey Stangel went the first four innings for the win with Dillon Dean pitching a 1-2-3 fifth for the save.  Stangel added two hits and 2 RBI’s and Booker Prokash also drove in a run.  Jaden Sawyer and Nathan Stenzel drove in a run for Sevastopol.  The game featured a six minute delay for fog early and then was called because of fog after the Pioneers batted in the top of the fifth inning.
