Wolves Win 25th Straight Conference Game

Algoma beat Gibraltar 35-32 in a girls Packerland Conference basketball game on Friday Night.  The Wolves closed the half on 19-6 run to lead 23-14 at the half and it was 30-18 after three quarters.  However, the Vikings (5-3, 9-5) closed to within 34-32 with :27.5 seconds to play and had a chance to tie with a shot from mid-court as time expired.  Linsey Pierre led the Wolves (8-0, 11-2) with 14 points.  Makenna Ash led Gibraltar with 10 points and became the school’s all-time leading girls scorer with 2:50 to play in the first quarter when she rebounded her own miss and followed with a basket.  Debbie Anderson Kordon held the record with 1,048 points, Ash now has 1,056.
