Algoma beat Southern Door, 4-3, in a Packerland Conference softball game at Peterson Park on Tuesday. Jordan Demmin pitched a five hitter for the Wolves and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 6th inning. The Wolves took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning only to see the Eagles tie the game in the fifth inning. Southern Door took the lead with an unearned run in the sixth inning. But after a 9-minute rain delay, Algoma stormed back as Amber McNulty tied the game with an RBI sacrifice bunt before Demmin’s base hit gave the Wolves the lead. Haack finished with 3 hits and an RBI for Algoma while Alyssa Dantoin had 3 hits and Ashley Wery and RBI for the Eagles. Algoma (4-0) leads the league and Southern Door drops to (4-1).
