The Algoma and Kewaunee girls basketball teams are one win away from the State Basketball Tournament in Green Bay.
Division 4
The Wolves (23-2) will take on a familiar opponent as they play Oconto (21-4) at 7:00 in Waupaca. Algoma has beaten the Blue Devils by scores of 41-26 and 55-32 in Packerland Conference play. Plus the Wolves have beaten Oconto 14 straight games and a win tonight would send Algoma to the State Tournament for the second time in three years while Oconto is seeking their first State Tournament berth. Defending Champion Kewaunee (24-1) will have a Sectional Final rematch with Xavier (24-1) at 7:00 in Ashwaubenon. The Storm advanced past Wrightstown in overtime on Thursday while the Hawks beat Fox Valley Lutheran 29-28. Kewaunee beat Xavier 59-50 last year on their way to the Division 3 State Championship.
