Algoma beat Sevastopol, 42-32, in a girls Packerland Conference basketball game on Thursday. The Pioneers led 20-17 at the half and 26-21 early in the second half after Ella Volkman hit a three pointer and Naomi Rikkola followed with a basket, but the Wolves answered with a 13-0 run and took the lead for good on a three point play from Sierra Slaby with 13:05 to play. Bristol Schmidt led the Wolves with 12 points while Rikkola led Sevastopol with 13 points and Kayla Ranly scored 10.
