Wolves Lose, Eagles Alone in First

Oconto beat Algoma, 64-62, in a boys Packerland Conference basketball game in Algoma on Monday Night.  The Blue Devils (10-3, 17-4) rallied from a 60-54 deficit with 2:30 to play to escape with the victory. Sawyer Koch (28 points) converted a three point play with :53 seconds to play to tie the game at 62-62 and as the Wolves (10-3, 15-6) were holding for a potential final shot, Grant Frazer picked off a pass and went for the go ahead basket with :23 seconds to play for the win.  Carson Moe added 18 for Oconto while Alex Dellis finished with 22 to lead Algoma.  Booker Prokash (15) and Caleb Lohenry (10) also finished in double figures.  The Wolves loss combined with Southern Door’s win leaves the Eagles in the drivers seat for the league championship.
