Wolves Beat Hornets

Algoma beat Green Bay Preble, 51-42, in a girls non-conference basketball game in Algoma on Thursday Night.  Down 13-8 in the second quarter, the Wolves closed the half on a 11-2 run and never trailed again.  The Hornets trailed 41-37 in the fourth quarter but Algoma delivered the final knockout punch as Rachel Feuerstein hit a long two point field goal and Anna Dier followed with a three pointer to make it 46-37.  Baleigh Delorit scored a game high 20 points while Dier added 18 for Algoma (6-0).  Leslie Giesler scored 17 points and Izzy Samuels added 12 for the Hornets (3-2).
